11th - Eddie's
Pub, Akron
Eddie's Pub was hot hot hot! Those that came out to
party came out strong! We want to thank Haji (manager)
and Shane (Sound man) for the invite to play. They
didn't know it but this was a return to our past. We
last played here in 1992!! (When Shane was like 9).
Someone Decide opened up the night with their youthful
exuberance. Then we rocked out the sweltering night.
Thanks to all that came out and we look forward to
seeing you again soon!!

26th - Danc'n in the Streets, Uhrichsville

And When The Sky Was Opened...
It RAINED! Dan'c in the Streets July 26 was in SERIOUS
danger of not happening at all when a sudden downpour
threatened to wipe out the entire evening. But the
folks in the Twin Cities are nothing if not HARDY!
They waited
out nearly an hour's delay while we had to rush around
and dry out the stage and equipment before we dared
risk turning on all that electrical gear. Fortunately,
things
dried out and we were able to power up safely and
the party truly STARTED.
Wanting to give as much time to our crowd of better
than 400 we ripped straight into some real movers
opening with Heartbreaker and proceeding into American
Girl
and
Need to Know. By the time we got to Kryptonite the
crowd was up and dancing and we kept them there all
night.
Feeling badly about the delay, we even skipped over
taking a break and played 2 1/2 straight hours of
pure party
tunes.
A few notable moments. The crowd of GIRLS that ROCKED
out to Tom Sawyer (and they sang every word along
with me so I know they weren't faking it. These girls
were
FANS!) The deafening sing along to Hate Myself for
Lovin You AND I Love Rock and Roll. The cheers for
Talk Dirty
to Me and Dirty Deeds and the bizarre sense of self
pride the party took in singing (screaming really)
along to
Sin City!
Truly a super time and we were glad to be a part
of it. Thank you to the Twin City Chamber of Commerce
for hosting
this annual event and we hope to be a part of it
again!
And thank all of you that braved the elements. A
GREAT time was had by us all !!
