What is your date of birth?
March 9th
What is your sign?

When did you begin playing music and why?
Well I began playing music as early as 5 th grade. I continued to play in grade school band, Jr. & High school band. I actually started playing bass guitar about 1984 and it just kind of expanded from there. My father is a music teacher retired and my grandfather played piano. Both of them played in combo groups and larger big band style groups. I think I was destined to play some sort of instrument because music was always around as an influence.
What was your earliest equipment?
I used the schools Hondo or Hofner Bass (can't remember which it was) and Lab Series Head and Bass cabinet for years until they took it back.
What is your current equipment set up?
For bass I have a 1974 Fender Precision Bass, a 1987 Gibson IV, a 1987 Wasburn B2, an Epiphone by Gibson and a Michael Kelly acoustic. I play them through a 1986 Ampeg SVT 2 all tube 300-watt head and an Ampeg 1540HE bass cabinet. On guitar I have a 1977 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe and a 1997 Gibson Les Paul Studio. I play them through a homemade pedal board with various distortions and other accessories. This all goes through a 1974 Fender bassman 100-watt all tube head. This goes into Fender HM412A slant cab, which sits on top of a Fender 2x12 extension cabinet.
Who were your first influences musically?
Kiss, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Nazareth, Cheap Trick, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, The Ramones, and Judas Priest.
Who are your influences now?
The Supersuckers, Nashville Pussy, Zeke, REO Speedealer, Electric Frankenstein, Social Distortion, King's X, Bad Religion, Iggy Pop and pretty much anything that you don't hear on regular commercial radio.
Was there one musician in particular that you wanted to emulate?
When I first started playing bass I was really into Steve Harris from Iron Maiden.
Does your family support you in your musical career?
My wife definitely does, however Mom and Dad still give me that not so sure look every time I mention the band is playing.
What is your current job?
What's that!?
Do you own any pets?
Two cats named Kasey and Brittny and one dog a Yellow Lab named Tucker.
What is your personal opinion about the music scene today?
I think it is great but you'll never hear what is going on through conventional radio. They still play the same songs from 30 years ago. Get satellite radio (Sirius) and experience new music commercial free. Internet radio (live 365.com) is also a good way to find new music.
What would you change about the music industry if you could?
The bullshit that currently has filtered its way into the club scene. It has made it harder and harder for regional and national acts to tour and come through your area. The money is just not there anymore. I would also change commercial radio and have them play new bands and new music.
Sex, Drugs and Alcohol?
Yes please!
The louder the better or give me some earplugs?
The loudest band I have ever gone to see live is Motorhead. It's so loud that it's almost painful but you have to experience it that way or it just is not the same. I currently play a lot lower than I used to. I'm not to the earplug stage quite yet.
Name a couple bands that people should know more about.
There are so many just refer to my current influences.
Name a couple bands that people should stop listening to.
Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.

Hopefully still playing shows only to larger crowds with better pay.
What is something that just drives you nuts?
Sock doodle. You know, the little balls of lint that gather in your socks. Drives me crazy.
What makes you happy no matter what else is going on in your life?
Family, my animals and of course MUSIC!!
What is your favorite color?
Probably Yellow maybe Red.
Are you single or married with children?
I am married no kids yet. I think I have the Hank Hill narrow urethra problem. Plus ya gotta have a J-O-B if you want a K-I-D.
What is your favorite TV show?
Family Guy, The Simpson's, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Lost, House and Sportscenter.
Are you a home body or is it let's find the party?
I am a homebody. The party is when the band plays a show. That's enough entertainment for me.
. Finally, are you the life of the party or the nerd in the corner talking about Star Trek?
I'm not really a fan of Star Trek but I don't think I'm the life of the party. I'm the guy who stands there and laughs at funny stories other people tell. I'm mo like Ed McMahon.
